This old Carthusian building, completely renovated, will seduce you with its chic and relaxed atmosphere, where calm and serenity reign supreme.

Over the seasons, come and enjoy this authentic Carthusian house, its rooms and our table d'hôtes, the magnificence of the surrounding nature, for a night, a weekend or during your holidays in the mountains.

The rooms

The house consists of five refined, comfortable and personalized guest rooms.


Reception normally takes place between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m, before 6:30 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays.


Breakfast is included. If you would like to enjoy our dinners during your stay, please contact us by email, text or phone.


For people with reduced mobility, please note that we are in a mountain area and a few steps are necessary to access ValOmbré

Breakfasts and meals are taken by the fireplace in the common room, or on the terrace (overlooking the Grand Som), depending on the weather and the season.

A few evenings per week, by booking in advance you can enjoy our table d'hôtes and savor a generous cuisine based on local products.

Mountain Guiding

Take advantage of Raphaël's Mountain Experience, who can organize your Hiking / Trail / Nordic Walking Days and support you in your projects (see activities section)

Parking is also available north of the main building. An electric charging station (wallbox) is available there.

Wi-Fi is free and accessible everywhere in the house. A screen connected to the internet is available for your research.

The house is located on a small plateau on the mountainside facing the main summits of Chartreuse, Chamechaude (2082m), Grand Som (2026m).

Le ValOmbré is located near the downhill ski resorts (St Pierre de Chartreuse), cross-country skiing (St Hugues, Col de Porte), Trail and mountain biking (St Pierre de Chartreuse). At the start of ValOmbré are trails and hiking trails leading to the Monastère de la Grande Chartreuse and Charmant Som, a mid-mountain peak offering an exceptional 360° view of the Alps and Mont-Blanc.

We are waiting for you at ValOmbré, for one night or for a longer stay, having at heart that you feel at home there, and Raphaël, my husband, will be happy to advise you if you wish, for sports activities.
